We are head-over-heels for these charming and vibrant stuffed toys, sustainably and ethically handmade in Sri Lanka.
Sturdily constructed from 100% cotton fabric using non-toxic dyes, they are stuffed with hypo-allergenic Kapok fiber and use no artificial or synthetic material. The colorful fabric used is hand-dyed and handwoven on a traditional wooden loom, then hand-embroidered. No factories or assembly lines are involved; they are made entirely by skilled Sri Lankan women artisans working in fair trade cottage workshops.
These are a zero-waste product and the fabric colors used for each piece depends on what is available. Each one is unique and the toy you receive may not match the colorway shown in the photo - rest assured, every color combination is breathtakingly beautiful!
Toys are laboratory tested for safety and conform to European Union toy safety standards EN71-1:2011 and EN71-2:2011.
