Floral Painted Papier Mache Ornament

These beautiful ball ornaments are crafted in India by Fida Hussein, using papier mache. The technique was introduced in Kashmir in the 15th century and grew in popularity during Mughal rule. Lavish multicolored bouquets are hand-painted on backgrounds of burgundy, black, cerulean and light spring green.
