Here she is, beloved culinary icon Julia Child. Famous for (among many other memorable teachings) advising American home cooks not to worry if they drop dinner on the floor as long as there's no one in the kitchen to witness it, we can't vouch for the roast chicken she's holding.

Julia wears her signature 'Ecole des Gourmands' patch and measures approx. 6-7 inches high and 2.5 inches wide. Made from synthetic felt with a loop for hanging. Due to the handmade nature of this item, please expect some variance between pieces and from the images shown.

Silk Road Bazaar’s mission is to support and develop traditional crafting techniques while creating products with a fun, modern touch. They work with artisan groups in Central Asia to build sustainable livelihoods for craftspeople in marginalized regions. Partnering with Gulnara Kyrdyrmyshova’s “Kork, Fiber Art Group” which has been supporting artists in Kyrgyzstan since 1996, they bring Kyrgyz crafts and design to a global audience.

Silk Road Bazaar has strong ties to their artist collaborators and their model involves living among their artist groups for an extended period of time. During that time, Silk Road helps them become self-sustainable by developing their designs, management techniques, quality control, and computer skills.

All designs and collaborations are original works of Central Asian artists and Silk Road Bazaar.
