Wheel thrown vessel hand-painted with a swallow using sgraffito technique, with gold accents. Measures approx. 4 x 4" (though size can vary considerably due to the handmade nature of this item).
Lizbeth Navarro was born and raised in Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico. In 2010 she earned a BFA in Ceramics from California State University, Long Beach. Liz’s work is inspired by her multicultural heritage, and an upbringing surrounded by beautiful handmade objects. In her work, she incorporates traditional techniques and materials with contemporary themes to deliver unique works of art. Along with her artistic endeavors, Liz teaches ceramics at various non-profit organizations that serve the underrepresented communities in Los Angeles. Liz currently works and teaches from her studio in Monterey Park, CA.
Her pots are food safe and can be used as cups or planters. If used as a planter, please note that there is no drainage hole in the bottom.
