We are thrilled to offer these remarkable taliswomen, each one handcrafted from polymer clay by artist Jaishri Abichandani.
Jaishri's work is the subject of the exhibition, Flower-Headed Children, at Craft Contemporary, the first comprehensive museum survey of the New York-based artist and curator’s varied creative production. Over her 25-year career, Abichandani has utilized folk and vernacular aesthetics and craft-based materials to create intricate figurative sculptures and painted portraits. Her works open traditional devotional iconography and narratives to contemporary anti-racist, feminist, queer, and politically radical possibilities.
The detail on these tiny sculptures is incredible, and each goddess figure exudes her own unique personality, strength, and spirit. Taliswomen vary from 1 to 3 inches in height. Some incorporate crystal fragments for extra power and impact.
This is a unique and amazing opportunity to own a miniature sculpture by renowned artist Jaishri Abichandani. Each one is exquisite and absolutely one-of-a-kind. Inventory is extremely limited and these will not last.
