Woolly Mammoth Ornament
Woolly mammoths may have gone extinct 10,000 years ago, but this furry ornament is here now and happy to grace your holiday décor. Just don't drop it into the tar pits!
Mammoth is approximately 4 inches wide and is made from sewn, embroidered, glued and stuffed synthetic felt with a loop for hanging. Due to the handmade nature of this item, please expect some slight variance between pieces and from the images shown.
Silk Road Bazaar’s mission is to support and develop traditional crafting techniques while creating products with a fun, modern touch. They work with artisan groups in Central Asia to build sustainable livelihoods for craftspeople in marginalized regions. Partnering with Gulnara Kyrdyrmyshova’s “Kork, Fiber Art Group” which has been supporting artists in Kyrgyzstan since 1996, they bring Kyrgyz crafts and design to a global audience.
Silk Road Bazaar has strong ties to their artist collaborators and their model involves living among their artist groups for an extended period of time. During that time, Silk Road helps them become self-sustainable by developing their designs, management techniques, quality control and computer skills.
All designs and collaborations are original works of Central Asian artists and Silk Road Bazaar.
