Black Bunny Plate w Lid

This bunny is from the breed with long ears. Specifically made for keeping garlic in your kitchen or pantry, the top is perforated with holes for this purpose. But, it's really too beautiful to not have it in a place for others to see it, so it can also just be a lovely piece by a brilliant ceramic artist.

The black glazed plate the bunny sits on is 6" in diameter. The bunny's body measures 4.75" side to side, 7.5" puffy tail to nose, and is 3" high including the casitas on the surface.

Made by ceramic artist, Veronica Arquilevich Guzman, in her home/studio, each piece crafted individually with clay, using a potter's wheel, or her hands, or both. Guzman likes to play with the forms; alternating, carving and adding texture or pieces to the original form. Most work is fired twice, and she uses a variety of low and high fire glazes to give each piece her signature love and mastery with color.
