From Upstate New York - Blackout Super Fine Upcycled Cotton Watchcap
This cap is made from finer yarn that knits into a beautiful, softer material than your standard watchcap.
The watchcap is a style that's existed for well over 100 years, though it's most commonly associated with WWII US Navy personnel. A watchcap is a shorter hat, traditionally meant to be worn folded above the ears. However, you can also wear it unfolded, rolled, double-folded, whatever suits you.
What is upcycled cotton yarn? This yarn is a blend of reclaimed cotton fibers from discarded garment scraps, combined with a small amount of nylon made from the remarkable RPET process, which recycles plastic (PET) bottles into fiber.
Content: 85% upcycled cotton, 15% RPET.
Production: knit in Waterloo, NY by our friends and knitting partners at Mozaic Organization, a not-for-profit employing, assisting, and providing services to thousands of disabled people in the Finger Lakes, NY area.
