Carved Black Vase Tall by Jonathan Yamakami Ceramics

Striking and refined in all black, this wheel-thrown and hand carved vase by Jonathan Yamakami is made from a black clay body. The exterior is unglazed for a matte finish, while the interior is glazed to hold water. Measures approx. 7.25 inches high x 4.25 inches in diameter.

Jonathan Yamakami is a ceramist based in Los Angeles, CA. His handbuilt and wheelthrown vessels are inspired by sea creatures, botanical life, and other figures from his childhood in São Paulo, Brazil.
