These casitas (little houses) serve a dual purpose. They're not only charming but they also can hold a stick of incense of a cone of incense for burning.
On closer look, you'll see that some of them carry a name - "doctor", "tienda", and some have great character without a name assignment.
These are great decoration for any little corner at your home; they will brighten your day with all the colors and textures.
Due to being made by hand, with each one an original, the measurements may vary. In general, the casitas are 2-3" wide at the bottom, and 2.75" - 4" high.
Made by ceramic artist, Veronica Arquilevich Guzman, in her home/studio, each piece crafted individually with clay, using a potter's wheel, or her hands, or both. Guzman likes to play with the forms; alternating, carving and adding texture or pieces to the original form. Most work is fired twice, and she uses a variety of low and high fire glazes to give each piece her signature love and mastery with color.
