The sterling silver Corn and Squash Dangle Earrings honor two of the Three Sisters. The Three Sisters are the corn, bean, and squash. These three are traditionally planted together because of their abilities to support each other's growth. A beautiful reminder by nature to surround ourselves with healthy mutual support.
Each earring is detailed and cast from a pumpkin seed and corn kernel and are 100%sterling silver, including the ear wire, making them perfect for someone with ear sensitivity to base metals.
MiCorasol's work is produced through sand casting, a process in which liquefied metal is poured into a sand mold, one of the oldest forms of metal production in recorded history.
Earrings have a 2" drop.
Inspired by her love for nature and her vibrant communities, Sol, the designer, considers herself an active participant in the BIPOC, LGBTQI+, and migrant groups in Southern California. In her pieces, she draws from nature to craft wearable adornments that capture the lessons of resilience and resistance.
Her work symbolizes strength within historically marginalized communities and celebrates their cultural practices and traditions. Seeds and plants, like jewelry and adornments, are not just beautiful objects but powerful storytellers, tokens that remind us of both our individual and collective power.
