Moroccan Bird Menorah - Pink

This colorful oil lamp menorah (hannukiah) combines traditional motifs with modern style. Modeled after North African menorahs, which were customarily cut from brass sheets, this one takes direct inspiration from a 20th century menorah from Malarash, Morocco - part of the collection of the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. From the inscription "B'Siman Tov" emblazoned on its top, it is speculated that the original menorah was created specially as a wedding gift, a custom known from other Hanukkah menorahs in Morocco.

Note that this menorah uses lamp oil, rather than candles. We provide 10 complimentary wicks with each purchase, but these are readily found online and in local Jewish community stores.
