We think these are swallows, and that's a nice thing for us if they are, because in both California (San Juan Capistrano) and Mexico, swallows are special, most often associated with hope, renewal, and transformation. The migratory patterns of swallows have made them symbols of new beginnings and better times. In some Mexican beliefs, they are considered symbols of good luck, protection, and family happiness, particularly if they nest near homes.

Our swallows come in two sizes and hang from a ring on the back, tied with a narrow olive green velvet ribbon that adds a 6" hang to the bird.
