We think these matchboxes are a gift in and of themselves. Wonderfully chosen illustrations to warm anyone's heart while striking a match for any number of rituals where lighting is required.
This year we have:
- Mr. FlamboyantThe Flamboyant Luxury Matches design is an Archivist classic. Those colors, the turban, that mustache! Flamboyant, fabulous, and forever a favourite. The perfect design to add some pizazz to your interior design.
- Out West -Designed way 'Out West' with our good friend, Saint No!
- Big Cat/Little Cat - Cat, coffee, cardigan lover, Charlotte Farmer, is one of our favourite collaborations to date. Vibrant, dynamic... a little bonkers so perfectly "matched" with Archivist.
- Hello Sunshine - Based on an original screenprint coffee tin design, Charlotte has done it again! Her bright colors and playful characters are perfect for any season.
- Natural History Museum Fish - The Archivist journey began in 1998, down in the archives of the Natural History Museum, and is an element of our past that we are incredibly proud to celebrate. In 2025, we pay homage to this crucial part of our beginnings by releasing a range of matchbox designs that have been made in collaboration with the Natural History Museum in London.
Dimensions: 4.3 x 4.3 x 1.2 in (11 x 11 x 3 cm)
The Archivist Gallery is run by husband and wife duo William and Sarah in Oxford, England. As the name might suggest, the archives of the Natural History Museum is where they first began hunting for vintage images, but now their range of letterpress cards, prints, and matches has expanded to include collaborations with artists all over the world.
Made in the United Kingdom.
