: A collection of contemporary artists
By JoAnn Locktov
This book will inspire mosaic artists of all levels with more than 250 color photographs dramatically documenting the work of forty-two international mosaic artists. Not a how-to or step-by-step guide, it is pure inspiration.
Featuring a wide range of projects: commercial, home decor, and outlets for creative impulses, examples include a swimming pool, floors in public buildings, fanciful home interiors, mirrors, entryways, teapots, small art pieces, and monumental sculptures.
The mosaics are created in a variety of media - glass, marble, stone, as well as a mix of the three media. The scope of this book is international, with contributors coming from the United States, Italy, France, England, Norway, Israel, and Japan.
Rockport, 2002, hardcover, 9 x 11 inches, 144 pages.
JoAnn Locktov has been an advisory board member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists since it was founded in 1999. She also contributes articles to the quarterly newsletter, Groutline.
