Tres Hermanas Vine Necklace by MiCorasol

Plants can be our greatest teachers. The way the Three Sisters (corn, bean, and squash seeds) grow speaks to how our struggles are interconnected. Just as the beans are supported by the corn to climb and the squash to protect them, our movements need collaboration, solidarity, and mutual care to succeed.

Whether for racial justice, gender equality, environmental sustainability, economic fairness, our struggles are deeply entwined, and our liberation connected. These Vine earrings are a reminder of this.

Made of sterling silver, these seeds are sand casted and the vine hand fabricated. The total length of the pendant is 1.5" long and together with the chain it's 18" total. The chain has an lobster clasp. all parts of the necklace are sterling silver.

Inspired by her love for nature and her vibrant communities, Sol, the designer, considers herself an active participant in the BIPOC, LGBTQI+, and migrant groups in Southern California. In her pieces, she draws from nature to craft wearable adornments that capture the lessons of resilience and resistance. 

Her work symbolizes strength within historically marginalized communities and celebrates their cultural practices and traditions. Seeds and plants, like jewelry and adornments, are not just beautiful objects but powerful storytellers—tokens that remind us of both our individual and collective power.
